My name is Lydia Carter and I am a former Art Teacher (of 7 years) with a passion for cookie decorating. I began my cookie journey in 2011 but launched LC Sweets in 2013. I am originally self taught, but love absorbing cookie awesomeness from others in the cookie community. I am originally from Houston, TX but now live in my husbands home town of Boyd, TX. We have 4 grown labrador retrievers that are our babies. When I’m not decorating cookies, you can find me staying busy running my other businesses, playing with my dogs, dating my husband, or trying out any other hobby I can get my hands on.

My cookies are baked fresh weekly. My recipe is a vanilla sugar cookie that is rolled to the perfect thickness and paired with royal icing. Each order is designed custom for my clients needs. I love pulling inspiration from all elements of the event to create the perfect set. I rarely create the same set twice.

In addition to custom cookies, I also invented, produce and sell a handy cookie tool called “The Cookie Swivel.” Check out my blog post about the history of this valuable tool!

In addition to The Cookie Swivel, I also design and produce 3-d printed cookie cutters. I am a small shop and design for my personal needs. I do not currently take custom orders.

As a former teacher, teaching is still a huge passion of mine. With taking this business full time, I have started doing classes out of my home. I offer beginner, intermediate and advanced classes.
